Fiduciary's International Small Cap Growth Strategy

An overview of Fiduciary's International Small Cap Growth strategy and perspective from portfolio manager Margaret Lindsay are presented in a recent Investment News article. The article delves into the philosophy and investment process that form the foundation for the strategy. Within the article, Ms. Lindsay, Executive Vice President and head of Fiduciary's non-U.S. smaller cap team, underscores her view that the international small cap asset class represents "a rich and virtually untapped investment opportunity" because it is "under-researched, underowned and undervalued." She points out that due to the inefficiency inherent in international small cap markets, "you can buy these stocks typically below their growth rates." The article also highlights some of the specific criteria on which Fiduciary's team focuses when evaluating companies for investment.

Ms. Lindsay and Fiduciary's International Small Cap Growth strategy are also profiled in a recent issue of Investment Management Weekly. The article provides insight on Fiduciary's approach to investing in international small cap companies and the team's focus on regions and sectors that have been experiencing growth. Within the article, Ms. Lindsay emphasizes that "we don't start by just looking at the company, we look for a growth theme, and within that we look for companies that have something special-good management, sustainable margins."

Fiduciary International Small Cap Growth Strategy
The strategy seeks long-term capital appreciation primarily through investments in smaller companies in developed international equity markets. Fiduciary's investment style is characterized by a distinctive and consistent growth bias. Unlike other Fiduciary equity strategies that have a top-down element, Fiduciary's small cap investment approach is bottom-up and driven by fundamental stock research. The management team does not intend to construct portfolios that are purely representative of the asset class, but rather aim to produce a portfolio of exceptional companies, often recognized as existing or potential industry leaders, and operating in industries offering attractive investment opportunities as a result of secular changes.
