Peter Anderson quoted in PlanSponsor

Peter D. Anderson, Senior Vice President and Director of U.S. Sales with Franklin Templeton Institutional, was quoted in PlanSponsor's December 2003 article "Pressure Points." The article focuses on asset allocation and institutional investing trends, providing insight on asset classes that are attracting increased attention from institutional investors.

Within the article, Mr. Anderson comments that, "sponsors are keeping their objectivity, and sticking to existing asset allocation and risk guidelines." In terms of equity allocations for the coming year, he notes that, "this year, most major [pension] funds are making major allocations to global investing." Later in the article, Mr. Anderson states that, "the evolution of a small-cap style into value and growth disciplines within international segments has been a crucial development for overseas equities." He also cites that, even after a strong market performance this past year, "many investors still see compelling value in emerging markets."

On the fixed income side, the article includes Mr. Anderson's insight that "we see an uptick in demand for more truly tactical, opportunistic fixed-income managers [taking additional credit risk]."
